No time to rest, we are headed to the Food Truck Fest! Our July Quarterly Box is nothing short of delicious! Summertime brings out special moments and memories with families. Increasingly popular is the vast amount and variety of Food Trucks to visit and choose from. We felt a theme with this in mind would be unique and extra fun! Read on to see what is all included in this all-inclusive box of hands-on play!
First up is the hardcover book authored by Alexandra Penfold. This colorful book is filled with catchy rhymes and beautiful illustrations. There is a lot to look at on each page as you follow a family dawn til dusk on the day they head to the Food Truck Fest! We think you will be reading this over and over!
Next up is the Busy Town 24-Piece Jumbo Puzzle along with the 3-D Accessory Kit. This giant floor puzzle is the perfect setting for your child to spend an afternoon creating, problem-solving, and pretending. Intended to be assembled in endless ways, this puzzle allows children of multiple skill and developmental levels to participate in an activity that allows success, yet encourages to think outside of the box to put your own twist. The 3-D accessory kit allows you to interact playfully with the "busy town" and extend learning by teaching about directional terms as well as road safety.

While our playdough is not gluten-free, it is edible (although not recommended), and the shelf-life when kept in the included sealed container is up to 8 months.
Ready for a whole afternoon of entertainment? Be ready to paint, color, glue, cut, and create your own Grill and food to grill! Extend the activity by allowing your child to create menus with their own drawings, explore with play money, and finish with having them help you make some dinner. Will this box of grilling supplies last forever? Likely no! But the memories sure will!
Need a quick activity? Pull out the Food Truck Coloring Sheet! Just color, cut and fold and you can add to your busy town for a 3-dimensional food truck add-on. Just look at the little peeps ready to get themselves some donuts!
Did we just mention peeps? Yep! Little wooden peeps that you get to create! Paint them and play with them. Bring them with you or keep them with your Busy Town Playset. Have some fun and let them be creative here as hard as it may be not to want to create one of your own....unless they let you!!
Ramen Noodles anyone? We LOVE a good fidget, and these stretchy noodles offer 4 irresistible tactile sensations! We ourselves use fidgets to get our work done. We feel everyone, every age can benefit from keeping their hands productively busy when in situations where learning, listening, or anxiety producing events are taking place. Consider keeping fidgets at your table/desk, car, purse, or cool-down corners. We even recommend keeping a secret stash to get out when you need to make that important phone call and need a minute that your child can engage with their fidgets requiring minimal supervision.
Have you met our new "staff"? We at Big Play in a Box believe that everyone at every age deserves to feel productive and needed. Well we need the help and the residents at Ashlyn Village were ready to take on the challenge at helping us put together our craft projects.
